Resettlement Assistance & Empowerment Program Manager of Liberty in North Korea
Native to South Korea, Gem returns to Seoul from Toronto to join the LiNK team after studying and working overseas for 17 years. She has over a decade of experience in immigrant and refugee resettlement and community development practice in public schools and agencies serving immigrant populations. She holds an honors BA in socio-cultural anthropology and linguistics from the University of Western Ontario, and a BSW from the University of Victoria. Gem is passionate about creating inclusive communities and community capacity building. She feels privileged to work with the North Korean people and this movement.
