آمنة عبد الجابر الريماوي
ولدت عام 1957، في قرية بيت ريما، بالقرب من مدينة رام الله، وتعتبر قائدة عمالية شعبية، عملت في الدفاع عن حقوق العمال الفلسطينيين، خاصة حقوق المرأة العاملة الفلسطينية.
حتى عام 1977، عملت مع اتحاد العمال الفلسطينيين، وناضلت من أجل تحسين ظروف عمل النساء والرجال، من خلال المفاوضات والدخول في وساطات، لتحقيق أفضل مناخ للعمل.
عام 1978 انتخبت عضو هيئة إدارية في اتحاد العمال في رام الله، ثم انتخبت عام 1985 نائبة رئيس اتحاد العمال الفلسطينيين، وبقيت في هذا المنصب حتى عام 1994.
تشغل حالياً منصب عضو السكرتاريا الوطنية للاتحاد ورئيسة دائرة المرأة فيه.
على مدى سنين طويلة، عملت ا للحصول على حقوق المرأة، في المساواة في الأجور وكامل شروط العمل، كما عملت على إنشاء مركز للدراسات العمالية، مقره مدينة رام الله.
وهي عضو في المجلس الوطني الفلسطيني 1985-1988.
اعتقلت من قبل القوات الإسرائيلية لعامين (1991-1993)، كما تم منعها من السفر خمسة عشر عاماً (1982-1997).

Amneh Abdul-Jaber Al-Rimawi
Born in 1957 in Beit-Rima, a village near Ramallah, Palestine, Al-Rimawi is a Palestinian woman involved in grass-roots and labor union activism, who has worked for Palestinian labor rights, particularly the rights of working Palestinian women. Until 1977 she worked with the Labor Union and struggled for the improvement of labor conditions. In 1978 she was elected as a board member of the Labor Union in Ramallah, and was then elected in 1985 as Vice-President of the Palestinian Labor Union, a position she maintained until 1994. She is currently a member of the Union’s National Secretariat, heading the Women’s Sector. Over the years, Al-Rimawi has worked to achieve wage parity between men and women. She established a center for labor studies in Ramallah and is a member of the Palestinian National Council. From 1985-1988 Al-Rimawi was placed under house-arrest by Israeli Authorities and then imprisoned for two years from 1991-1993. She was also banned from traveling for fifteen years from 1982-1997
