We just uploaded stories of two peace women from Africa.

Many Kenyan children have limited chances to have education at high school. In comparison with the boys, the girls are more likely to have less opportunities to get educated at high school. Jane Wanjiru Muigai Kamphuis from Kenya used to face similar challenges and, now, engages in human-rights work. Please read her story here.

Immaculée Ilibagiza from Rwanda went through the genocide in 1994, when she was 22 years old. She had been trapped in a bathroom with other women for three months for hiding and this traumatic experience made her decide to work for peace.
