Jude hails from a family of traditional leaders recognized by her tribe. Her father is a respected tribal elder and a community leader referred to as Timuay who has raised Jude and her siblings to be good and responsible citizens.

 

She initially thought of becoming a nurse but eventually graduated with a degree in Sociology because of her interest in community affairs and cause-oriented advocacies.

 

She personally believes and actively promotes recognition of and respect for indigenous people’s rights and their political system and employs active non-violence in carrying out her advocacies.

 

For her, advocating for non-violence is a best strategy for social change. Jude believes in the power of dialogue, and in reaching out to the inner conscience of the person you are talking to, because Jude believes there is innate goodness in every person, it is just a matter of reaching out which is most important to her.

 

Jude can facilitate dialogue among women, local village leaders and even local commanders on certain issues affecting communities.

 

Jude facilitates training like gender-sensitive activate non-violence, dialogue among tri-people women, for the promotion of peaceful co-existence.
