Tracy has come back Hong Kong this year and year 2015 just past dooms to be an unforgettable year to Tracy. During the year 2015, Tracy stayed in Canada for a one-year working holiday. In the followings, Tray is willing to share this wonderful experience to us.
When are asked the reasons for working holidays, Tray said it is the desire to explore the nature and countryside in her heart. Hong Kong is a metropolis, even though there is natural sightseeing, they are far from residences. It is hard for Tracy to experience natural sightseeing in Hong Kong. Tray holds a motto: As long as we have courage, especially when we are young, it will never be wrong to pursue our dreams.
With this spirit, during her one-year working holidays in Canada, Tray has three host families, all these families have their own gardens. The host families will raise flowers, trees, crops and poultry for the families’ own use. The main works for Tracy are to feed poultry on time, to weed the garden, to harvest crops, and to water the plants. The crops harvested are not for sale but only for their own use. Tray’s host families value eco-friendly life style. All the crops they raised are organic, even when they are shopping in the supermarket, they would prefer food without additives.
Host families’ eco-friendly life style has influenced Tray’s ways of life even back to Hong Kong. Considering the food additives added in bread, Tray would bake breads and cookies learned in Canada by herself.
After several moths back to Hong Kong, Tracy said that life style in Canada and life style in Hong Kong varies a lot. Tray found that Hong Kong reply much on their cell phones whereas in Canada, every family will have a telephone, many people even do not have their own cell phone, not to mention network. They prefer to enjoy their life with nature. During her time with her host families, Tracy learned much knowledge about nature from host families. Trey would introduce animals in the forest to Tray and sometimes, they would have a walk in the forest as well. Experienced one-year working holidays in Canada, Tracy has become more outgoing and positive to life. There are big changes in Tray’s life style, she is on her way to pursue the healthy life style in Hong Kong.
